Govt dismisses Pentagon Report on Chinese Construction in Arunachal

Ground Report | New Delhi: Chinese Construction in Arunachal; India has said that it will neither accept China's "illegal" occupation nor its "unreasonable" claims about the border at any cost. India's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said this in response to questions asked on reports related to China's construction in the border areas, especially in Arunachal Pradesh (villages with 100 houses in the disputed area).

Responding to questions from journalists on Thursday, Bagchi said that India has strongly registered its protest against such activities at the diplomatic level. And India will do the same in the future also. Responding to questions from journalists, he said that China has built in the last several years along with the border areas as well as in the areas which it has occupied for decades. India neither accepts any such occupation nor does China's unjustified claims.

Under its new border law, China has created 'dual-use' villages in the border areas of the eastern region. These villages are being seen as a threat as these villages are claimed to have been converted into permanent military camps.

Earlier, a US report claimed that China has settled a village with about 100 houses in the disputed area on the Chinese border with Arunachal Pradesh. The mountainous area in which the Chinese army has built it used to be India's last military post before the 1962 war. Then it was called Maja Camp. While the Ministry of External Affairs gave India's response to China's creation, Chief of Defense General Bipin Rawat also spoke on this issue on a TV channel. Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat made a statement on Thursday in contrast to the official statement of the Ministry of External Affairs regarding sugar manufacturing in the eastern sector in Arunachal Pradesh.

Contrary to Arindam Bagchi's statement on this issue, Rawat said on a news channel that sugar manufacturing was going on in that part of the LAC. "They are building infrastructure and these so-called villages are under their jurisdiction on the LAC. They have never violated our area on the LAC. There are different perceptions. We are very clear about it," he said. . Where is the LAC because we have been told where is our position on the LAC and that is the area we are expected to protect."

During this, Bipin Rawat said that China has a perception which we know in some areas and not in some because they never clearly stated where is the LAC as per their belief. In this TV program, General Bipin Rawat said that as far as we are concerned, no such village has been made in our area of ​​LAC.
