Govt always there for youth of Kashmir Union Minister

Ground Report | New Delhi: Govt always there for youth of Kashmir; Great manners of Sufi saints; As part of the Central Government's public relations program for Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Minister of State for Defence and Tourism, Ajay Bhatt today visited Kupwara, the border district of North Kashmir.

During the visit, the Minister visited a forward post along the Line of Control (LoC) and reviewed the security scenario in the area. He also interacted with the officers and jawans of the Army. Later, the Minister visited the Horticulture Base Station Chogul, which was spread over 184 kanals of land.

He inspected the stall of the Horticulture Department and saw various products including fruits, walnuts, organic honey. Bhatt also visited plant nurseries of various fruit species and interacted with progressive gardeners and farmers besides women self-help groups and local PRIs.

Great manners of Sufi saints

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister of State Ajay Bhatt expressed happiness to be among the people of border district Kupwara. He said that the great manners of Sufi saints are still alive in Kashmir, which is reflected in the warmth of the people during their visit. Terming Kashmir as a paradise on earth, he said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is making every effort to keep its essence intact by holistic development of the region, especially the border district of Kupwara.

People are moving forward and development work is happening on a large scale. He assured that border tourism, eco-tourism, and horticulture tourism would be taken up on a priority basis.

Govt always there for youth of Kashmir

The Minister laid the foundation stone of a synthetic handball court at Boys Higher Secondary School, Kandi Khas at a cost of Rs 72 lakh and interacted with the youth club and members of local PRIs.

Listing out the Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Bhatt urged the need for better utilization of the benefits of these schemes by all the stakeholders. He influenced the youth to potentially pursue their talents and earn accolades for themselves and the country. The Government of India is always there for the youth of Kashmir to encourage them for a better future.
