Hydrogen Fuel

Hydrogen is the first and the lightest element in the periodic table and it exists in the atmosphere in the form of hydrogen gas i.e. H2. Hydrogen reacts with oxygen (O2) in the atmosphere to form water (H2O) releasing energy that allows hydrogen to be used as a fuel. But why is hydrogen being termed the: ‘fuel of the future?
