FIR against Chandrashekhar Azad, 400 others after Hathras visit

Ground Report| News Desk| An FIR has been registered against Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad and 400 others for violating Section 144 of CrPC while visiting Hathras woman who died after she was allegedly gangraped.

Chandrashekhar, who was stopped on his way to Hathras, came to the victim's village on Sunday, Chandrashekhar Azad, Chief of the Bhima Army, who surrounded the Yogi government of Hathras. Earlier, Bhima Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad was stopped from Aligarh between Hathras while going to the gang rape victim's village. However, the district administration later allowed the meeting. After this Bhima Army chief reached the victim's village and met the family.

The Azad Samaj Party leader and his supporters had created a law and order situation as they tried to enter the village on Sunday, police said.

Police told Azad and his supporters that due to the Epidemic Diseases Act and implementation of Section 144 in the area, a large gathering was likely to facilitate the spread of Covid-19. The police told them that the movement of ambulances and emergency service would be impacted with the gathering. But the supporters sat on the roads despite orders near Sasni Police Station,” the FIR read.

Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar had met the family of the alleged gang-rape victim in Hathras and said, 'I demand' Y protection 'for the family or I will take them to my house. They are not safe here. We want the investigation to be done under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge.

The police administration had stopped Chandrashekhar Azad's convoy before Hathras so that the situation could be kept under control. After this, he left his convoy and came to meet the family on foot. Chandrashekhar told the media as soon as he came to the village, he had not met for a long time, because of the situation, he did not think anything good was happening.
