Fellowship delayed; research scholars dismayed

Research scholars are dismayed over the delayed fellowship agencies like ICMR, DST, UGC and other agencies. A research scholar said that due to the delaying in the fellowship till now scholars are facing the constant problems in daily basics.

On behalf of All India Research Scholars Association AIRSA, Dr. Lal Chandra Vishwakarma research scholar said that we have mailed to higher authority ICMR DG and DST secretary over the issue, several times but they are not caring about young research scholars in India. He asked, if they are not ready to help us then how can they expect scholars will be able to do innovative research across the country.

Hike fellowship: The reason why researchers are in protest mode

Vishwakarma said even then scholars are doing research work in their laboratory without getting fellowship. Added "we need healthy & prosperous environment for research in India. Then only possible innovative research in India". Shravan kumar paswaan from Lucknow also told we should get fellowship every month.

Another scholar said “It’s not that we are not working hard neither are we working less. It is our work and we try our best to complete it in time. So, we also have the right to get our fellowship on time. The procedure doesn’t stop here,”.
