The farmers have called for 'Bharat Bandh' today i.e. on 8 December. Many political parties have supported this bandh. Farmer leaders have said that the Bharat Bandh will be effective from 10 am to 3 pm, but there will be no obstruction in emergency services.

In Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh Police is monitoring the activities of the Samajwadi Party. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had said on Sunday that 'they accept the demands of the farmers and they will support the Bharat Bandh called by the farmers'. But on Monday morning, UP police camped outside their house.

Farmers of Punjab and Haryana have been demonstrating against the agricultural laws of Modi government for the last 12 days. Farmers have camped on the borders of Delhi. Also, farmers' demonstrations continue in many districts of the country.

Train stopped in Prayagraj

In Prayagraj, UP, Samajwadi Party workers stopped the train. SP workers protesting during Bharat bandh stopped the Bundelkhand Express train and shouted slogans.

Bharat bandh affected in Lucknow

In view of the Bharat Bandh of farmers, section 144 has been implemented in the rural areas of Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from the city of Lucknow, there will be ban on processions, picketing, rally and siege by five or more people in rural areas.

So far a total of 24 political parties have announced their support for the 'Bharat Bandh' called on Tuesday, 8 December. But the peasant leaders have appealed to all the political parties in support that they should not use this movement politically.

Justifying the demands of the farmers, the Congress and the Left parties are strong at the regional level - DMK, TRS, SP, BSP, RJD, Shiv Sena, NCP, Akali Dal, AAP, JMM and Gupkar coalition have supported 'Bharat Bandh'.

Speaking to the press on Monday evening, Kisan Union (Revolutionary) President Darshan Pal Singh said, "We thank all the political parties that they supported our demands, considered them right." But we will appeal to them that when they come in support of 'Bharat Bandh' on Tuesday, they should leave their flags and banners at home, and only support the farmers. "

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry has also instructed all the states and union territories to maintain peace and restraint during the Bharat Bandh on Tuesday. Also try to follow the guidelines of covid-19.
