The farmers have called for 'Bharat Bandh' today i.e. on 8 December. Many political parties have supported this bandh. Farmers Union spokesman Rakesh Tikat told that the bandh will start from 11 am and continue till 3 pm.

Uttar Pradesh: Farmers' organizations have called for the Bharat Bandh in protest against agricultural laws in Uttar Pradesh, which has been supported by many political parties including Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has instructed the officials of the districts to be vigilant.

Bihar: 77 percent of the workforce in Bihar is related to farming, in such a situation, all the farmers' organizations and the grand alliance are trying to make this bandh historic and successful.

The RJD and Congress along with the Left parties of the Grand Alliance are supporting this bandh.

They will also perform on the streets in support of the bandh. Apart from this, under the banner of Bihar Rajya Kisan Sabha and All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee, many farmers organizations will also perform.

West Bengal: The Left and Congress will take to the streets in support of Bharat Bandh, along with the rail and road will be stopped.

The Trinamool Congress has given only moral support to this bandh. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that she is fully with the farmers' movement, but her party does not support programs like bandh, so there will not be much impact in West Bengal.

However, the effect of the shutdown may be in rural areas. Because this Bharat Bandh is only for four hours, most offices will remain open in urban areas and people will reach before the shutdown begins.

Rajasthan: The Bharat Bandh has been supported by the National Democratic Party, a coalition partner of Rajasthan's Farmers Organization, Trade Union, Congress and NDA.

During the bandh, there has been a call for the closure of grain and fruit markets and markets in Rajasthan. At the same time, police administration has also been instructed to maintain law and order. A major impact of the Bharat Bandh can be seen in Rajasthan.

South India: The impact of the bandh in South India can be seen only in Karnataka. Because the first phase of Gram Panchayat elections in Kerala is going to be held today.

However, this election is going to be held in only five districts. Still, people in other districts are busy in the work of the second and third phase elections. If the government of Andhra Pradesh supports agricultural laws, the impact of the shutdown will probably not be seen there.

The government of Tamil Nadu also supports these laws, but there are going to be demonstrations of DMK and Left parties in many districts. The interesting thing in Telangana is that it will be closed in Telangana today and maybe there will also include the son of Chief Minister and TRS party president K Chandrasekhar Rao and minister KT Rama Rao and his daughter Kavita.

Many farmers from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have also come to participate in the demonstrations in Delhi.
