There are eco-sensitive zones in 11 national parks, seven tiger reserves, and 24 wildlife sanctuaries under the forest department. Mining and construction are completely banned in wildlife areas, while construction is regulated in eco-sensitive zones.

This digital boundary will facilitate the setting up of activities such as tourist accommodation, resorts, etc. in the wildlife areas through digital boundaries in the computerized records of the Revenue Department to see where these activities can be permitted.

The Forest and Revenue Departments have come to an agreement on this, and the Revenue Department will display this digital boundary in its computerized maps within the next two months.

Between the dispute of revenue and forest land, the general public is affected, as well as the official class, which gets entangled in the judicial process. In such a situation, by fixing the boundary of the forest area and recording it in the map, the situation of dispute will be avoided to a great extent.

Apart from this, illegal activities will also be banned in the eco-sensitive zone bordering the Tiger Reserve and the Sanctuary. The state government is committed to protecting the forest. That is why the Commissioner, Collector have been entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring the eco-sensitive zone.

The boundaries of the eco-sensitive zone in Madhya Pradesh are yet to be decided. Outside the boundary of the tiger reserve, there is an eco-sensitive zone of one kilometer in some places and more than one kilometer in many places.

In some of the borders, revenue area is also attached. These boundaries are also recorded in revenue maps and forest department maps. Since, most of the works are restricted in eco-sensitive zones, it often leads to controversies.

Now the boundary of the eco-sensitive zone will be demarcated and recorded in the map, and a digital boundary will be created. For this, the help of satellite imagery will be taken.
