The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) declared its Class 12 results on Tuesday. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the results from his residence in Bhopal. This year, 7.06 lakh students appeared for the exam, and 74.48% of them passed.
Among them, Priyal Dwivedi from Satna stood out by scoring 492 out of 500 marks in the Maths-Science stream. She is a student of Kanya Government Uma Vidyalaya in Amarpatan.
Who is Priyal Dwivedi?
Priyal is from a small town in Satna district. Her consistent study plan and focus helped her secure the top position. “I studied for 6 to 7 hours daily. I made short notes, revised regularly, and solved previous years’ question papers,” she said.
Priyal also said she avoided social media completely. “I didn’t use Instagram or any apps. I knew they would waste my time. I stayed away from distractions,” she said.
Her parents supported her throughout. “They never forced anything on me but always encouraged me to give my best,” Priyal added. She focused more on Maths and Physics. “These subjects need clear understanding. I asked questions until I got full clarity,” she said.
She also mentioned, “Many girls like me live in small towns. If they get the right guidance and stay focused, they can do anything. I want to become an engineer and work in technology.”
What did the CM say?
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised Priyal and other toppers. “Girls have outperformed boys once again,” he said. He congratulated all female students, calling them “Ladli Laxmi and Ladli Behna.”
"Once again girls outshine boys in the High School and Higher Secondary board exams. I congratulate all the girl students. I am watching the merit list in which the number of girls is higher than that of boys. Overall passing percentage of girls is also greater. Women are our pride that is why we call them Ladli Laxmi and Ladli Behna," CM Yadav said.
Yadav noted that the results this year were the best in 15 years. He said 76.22% of regular students passed Class 10 exams, and 74.48% passed Class 12. In both exams, girls had higher pass rates than boys.
