How to check your JEE Main 2025 session 2 results:

Follow these simple steps to check your result:

  1. Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.

  2. Find and click on the “JEE Main 2025 Result” link.

  3. Log in using your application number and password (or other required credentials).

  4. Your scorecard will be displayed on the screen.

  5. Download and save a copy of your scorecard for future reference.

Important Note: Candidates should carefully verify all the details on their scorecard, including their name, roll number, marks, and category. Any discrepancies should be reported immediately to NTA for correction.

Since the release of the provisional answer key on April 11, there have been multiple reports from students and parents regarding discrepancies in the response sheets. Many candidates pointed out that the answers marked in their response sheets did not align with what they actually attempted in the exam. There were also concerns about questions being marked incorrect, despite being answered correctly.

In response to these claims, NTA issued a statement urging candidates not to jump to conclusions based on the provisional answer key. The agency clarified that they were thoroughly reviewing all objections and would address these concerns in the final answer key, which would be released alongside the results.

What to expect after the results are announced

After the results are released, candidates can expect the following:

  • Students who qualify for JEE Advanced, which is the next step in the admission process for top Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), should immediately begin preparing for this highly competitive exam. Focus on solving previous years’ papers, taking mock tests, and brushing up on critical topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  •  Even if you did not qualify for JEE Advanced, there are still plenty of options. Students can apply to various state-level engineering colleges or private universities that accept JEE Main scores.

  • All candidates who qualify for JEE Advanced or who have good ranks in JEE Main should participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. JoSAA conducts the counselling process for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other central government-funded institutes. Candidates will need to fill out their choices of colleges and branches, and seats will be allocated based on their All India Rank (AIR), category, and availability.

JEE Main 2025: Cut-off and seat allocation

There’s an ongoing discussion about the potential rise in the cut-off marks this year due to an increase in the number of test-takers and the trends observed in previous years. Students are advised to stay updated with the official announcements to know the expected cut-off scores.

The final results will include the candidate’s All India Rank (AIR), subject-wise marks, and percentile scores. These scores play a critical role in determining eligibility for JEE Advanced and also for admissions to NITs, IIITs, and other engineering institutes through JoSAA.

What's next after JEE main results?

Once the results are out, students will need to prepare for the next steps based on their scores. Whether it's gearing up for JEE Advanced, applying to state or private colleges, or participating in JoSAA counselling, it's essential to stay informed and make timely decisions.

Keep checking the official NTA and JoSAA websites for the latest updates on counselling schedules, registration dates, and seat allotment rounds. The next few weeks will be crucial for students aiming for a top engineering college in India.
