Truth of Shivraj Chauhan video, BJP is losing UP and Uttarakhand

Ground Report | New Delhi: Shivraj Singh Chauhan BJP; Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has released a video from his social media handle claiming that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP's star campaigner Shivraj Singh Chouhan has conceded defeat in Uttarakhand and UP. In the video, Shivraj is telling a person the condition of BJP in UP and Uttarakhand.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Rawat said that Chouhan is telling the reality of BJP in Uttarakhand. Rawat said, 'Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh, who returned after campaigning in Uttarakhand, told the reality of BJP that the party is losing in Uttarakhand.'

This video is from the time when CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was talking to someone off-the-record on the condition of BJP in the elections. Congress supporters are sharing this video a lot on social media and are telling Shivraj's statement as an acknowledgement of BJP's weak position. Harish Rawat claims that BJP has accepted its defeat in Uttarakhand and UP.

Though the audio is unclear, when asked to speak about the party's expected performance in both the states, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “I think there is no doubt in UP. The BJP is losing Uttarakhand. It’s a tight contest (Mujhe to lagta hai UP me koi sandeh nahi hai, Uttarakhand me bhi BJP gayi, kada mukabla hai).” He then asks the man recording the video to stop recording.

Journalist Anurag Dwari also tweeted the same video with a Hindi caption which translates to 'In an informal conversation with journalists in Jait 2-3 days ago, the Chief Minister of MP @ChouhanShivraj said that BJP will "get through" in UP, in Uttarakhand too… which meant "will win". In every generation political parties twisting a statement according to ideology is understandable, but journalists!'.
