The Jharkhand High Court itself took cognizance of the matter on July 29. High Court Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan directed the SP of Dhanbad Police to appear during the hearing on July 29.

Dhanbad session judge death controversy

In the Supreme Court, the case of Judge Uttam Anand was raised in front of several judges including the CJI. The country's Chief Justice NV Ramana said that he had spoken to the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court and said, "We know about the case and we will look into it."When the Supreme Court Bar Association raised the matter before CJI Ramana, the CJI said, "The Chief Justice of the High Court has looked into the matter and the matter is now in the High Court. We also know about the case."

Before the CJI, advocate Vikas Singh raised this matter before the bench of Justice DY Chandrachud. Singh said, "This is an open attack on the judiciary. This matter should go to the CBI. In such cases, there is usually complicity of the local police. It is shocking. The judges leave for a morning walk and a vehicle hits them. The judges were hearing bail pleas of several gangsters. This is an attack on judicial independence."

Advocate Vikas Singh also raised the matter of Judge Uttam Anand in front of Justice MR Shah. Singh said the footage was "not normal CCTV" and it was "deliberately" recorded for circulation.

Family demands CBI probe

The people of the Hazaribagh family of Judge Uttam Anand are talking about murder. The family of the judge, residing in Shivpuri locality under Lohsinghana police station area of ​​Hazaribagh district, is calling this case a planned murder. Along with this, the CBI is demanding a probe in this matter.

The deceased's younger brother Shambhu Suman said that his brother's murder was done in a planned manner, which is clearly visible in the CCTV footage. He has demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter from Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The deceased judge's father Sadanand Prasad and brother Shambhu Suman are lawyers in Hazaribagh.

The autorickshaw driver and his accomplice who hit Judge Uttam Anand have been arrested. The police had registered a case against the unknown tempo driver. The case was registered on the complaint of the Registrar of Civil Court.

The state government has also sought a reply from the DM in this matter. On July 28, a high-level meeting was held at the residential office of the SSP. Along with this, a medical board was also formed. On July 29, the Jharkhand High Court itself took cognizance and directed for a speedy investigation in the matter. The court will monitor this investigation daily. The police have been told that if the investigation is not satisfactory, the case will be handed over to the CBI.
