One day after Delhi received light showers, the national capital witnessed a windy and cold morning on Monday. The minimum temperature was recorded this morning at 10.2 degrees Celsius, one point above the average for the season.
The city recorded 20 mm of rain in a 24-hour period. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 20°C during the day.

The meteorologist forecast partly cloudy skies for the day and said the maximum temperature is likely to reach 20 degrees Celsius.
Delhi's air quality also saw a marginal improvement from 'very bad' to 'bad' on Monday. The 24-hour air quality index (AQI) on Sunday checked in at 331 (very poor), but on Monday morning, the AQI was 285.
Just a day earlier, the India Meteorological Department had forecast light to moderate rain in Delhi for the next 12 hours.
According to an earlier weather alert, oncoming patches of cool clouds over Delhi are likely to trigger periods of light to moderate rain over the city.
Meanwhile, according to IndiaMetSky Weather data, moisture is settling on the Aravali mountain tops and lifting instantly.
Trains running late
As many as 13 trains were delayed due to poor visibility and rain showers on Monday, Indian Railways reported.
Late arriving trains include Darbhanga-New Delhi Clone Special, Gaya-New Delhi Mahabodhi Express, Malda Town-Delhi Farakka Express, Banaras-New Delhi Kashi Vishwanath Express Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Amritsar Express, Jabalpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Gondwana Express.
Teh list also incude trains such as Dr. Amdedkar Nagar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Malwa Superfast Express, MGR Chennai Central- New Delhi Grand Trank Express, MGR Chennai Central- New Delhi Tamil Nadu Express, Ayodhya Cantt- Delhi Express, Rajgir-New Delhi Shramjeevi Express, Sultanpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Sadbhavana Express, Pratapgarh-Delhi Padmavat Express.
