Delhi doctor commits suicide, blamed AAP MLA In note: Police

A Delhi doctor, 52, on Saturday committed suicide allegedly because of harassment by an Aam Aadmi Party MLA, the police said. In his two-page note, the man alleged the ruling party leader and his associate were trying to extort money from him, and they targeted his business interests when he refused to pay.

In the suicide case, police has received a suicide note based on the suicide note, Delhi Police has registered a case of abetment to suicide against Aam Aadmi Party MLA Prakash Jarwal from Deoli.

The Delhi Police received a PCR call in this regard at 6.17 am this morning. In the suicide note, the doctor has written that he was constantly being harassed by the local MLA. After this, Delhi Police has registered a case against AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal, Kapil Nagar and others for extortion and abetment to suicide.

Delhi Police said that on reaching PCR call in the morning, they reached the spot. It was found here that the name of the person who committed suicide is Dr. Rajendra Singh. Rajendra Singh was a resident of Durga Vihar in Delhi. He was 52 years old.

According to the police, he committed suicide on the roof of his house. Police say that he hanged himself through a rope in the early hours on saturday. Around 5.30 am, a tenant informed the family about the incident. Police has sent the body for postmortem.
