Ground Report | New Delhi: Deep Sidhu Died; Famous Punjabi film actor and social activist Deep Sidhu died today in a road accident on the KMP highway (Kundli-Manesar highway) near Delhi.
On Jan. 26, protesting farmers clashed with police at the tractor rally against the Center’s now-repealed farm laws and stormed into Red Fort, hoisting religious flags over its domes and injuring dozens of police.
According to Delhi Police, they have electronic evidence to show that Sidhu entered Red Fort with followers carrying lathis and flags and provoked violence. He has been in jail for more than two months and was released on bail on April 17.
Sidhu was born to a Jatt Sikh family from Sri Muktsar Sahib district in Punjab in 1984. He had started his acting career at age 31 and became most famous for Jora 10 Numbaria (2017). Originally from the Udekaran village of Muktsar, Sidhu’s family had left the village in the 1980s. His father was a practicing lawyer in Gidderbaha.
Born in April 1984 in Muktsar district of Punjab, Deep Sidhu started his career with modeling. Deep studied law. He was the winner of Kingfisher Model Hunt. Also won the title of Mr. Personality in Mr. India contest. Her first Punjabi film ‘Ramta Jogi’ was released in the year 2015. However, Deep rose to fame with the 2018 film Jora Das Numbariya, in which he played a gangster.
