He tweeted saying – Many countries have stopped flights coming from Omicron-affected countries. Why are we delaying? In the first wave also we had delayed stopping foreign flights. Most of the foreign flights come to Delhi, Delhi is the most affected. PMsahib please stop flights immediately.

He has done this tweet while reacting to the news of a person returning from South Africa being found corona positive in Chandigarh.

Actually, a person who returned to Chandigarh from South Africa has been found to be corona positive, apart from this, the corona report of another member of his family and a person working in his house is also positive. These samples have been sent to the lab for genome sequencing.

On Monday, the Health Minister of Karnataka, Dr. K. Sudhakar has also said that a passenger coming from South Africa to Bengaluru has been found to have "different symptoms from the delta variant of Covid-19". He said that the test sample has been sent for genome sequencing.

Due to the new variant, countries such as the UK, the European Union, the US and Canada have banned flights to and from certain African countries, including South Africa.

An African doctor who was one of the first to warn of the spread of a new variant of Corona said that the symptoms of ‘O Macron’ are very mild.
