Ground Report | New Delhi: Couple stripped naked in Forbesganj; In Bihar's Forbesganj City, on the orders of a panchayat, a loving couple was chained together and beaten up for having an illicit relationship. The woman is said to be already married.

Local people said that a married woman was caught with her lover in an objectionable condition, after which people tied both of them with chains and took off their clothes, and made a video from mobile. After this, the Panchayat was set up for the decision in the matter.

The panchayat ordered the lovers to be beaten up by tying them to a tree. After the video of the incident went viral on social media, now police action has been taken in this case. Following the orders of Superintendent of Police (SP) Hriday Kant, the police registered the case. So far eight people have been arrested in this case.

Eight people arrested

On the complaint of the aggrieved party, the SP had ordered Forbesganj DSP Rampukar Singh to take action in this matter. The DSP said that the matter is related to a love affair. The villagers, after being caught with her lover, behaved badly and tied him to a tree and beat him up.

City SDPO RP Singh said that both of them were beaten up and also stripped. A couple was chained together on the orders of a panchayat in Forbesganj to have an illicit relationship, as the woman was already was married, 8 people have been arrested.
