Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' spoke about the opening of the schools in a live conversation with the teachers. At present, there is no clear word about the opening of the schools.

On the opening of the school, HRD Minister said, 'The health of our students is the main reason for our concern. Schools will open only when the situation arising due to coronavirus becomes normal. '

NCERT is looking at a new system to open schools. At the same time, UGC is working for higher education institutions including colleges and universities. By the way, the UGC has made it clear that the class of college students who have already taken admission will start from August and the new batch will start from September. But the situation on the schools has not been clear.

He asked teachers and students to download the Arogya Setu App so that they can fight the coronavirus. He also asked everyone to be aware of the situation related to coronaviruses.

Education institutions closed due to lockdown To
prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, the country has been locked down since the last week of March. Schools, colleges, universities and all educational institutions are closed due to the lockdown. School, college and university examinations, including competitive examinations, were also postponed.

In most states, students from 1st to 9th and 11th have been promoted on the basis of internal assessment without examination in the next class. Now, the date of CBSE 10th and 12th class examinations has been announced. The dates of JEE Main, JEE Advanced and NEET examinations have also been announced.

In response to a question from a teacher, KS Kusum from Delhi, Pokhriyal said that teachers who are involved in the evaluation process will not be asked to prepare for the new academic session.

He said that paper evaluation in itself is a humongous task and teachers who are already evaluating board exam papers will not be asked to prepare for the new academic sessions.

According to UNESCO, over 1.57 billion students have been affected by school closures in more than 190 countries during the pandemic.

Some countries in Europe have started lifting restrictions on their residents. On Tuesday, over a million children are scheduled to go to school in France, and in Germany, schools have been partially reopened for younger children. In Spain, schools are shut till September with the exception of classes for some students. In the UK, only two per cent of children are attending school at the moment and the government has urged schools and authorities to encourage more children to come to school.
