CBSE Class 12th Results Out, Delhi Records A Pass Percentage of 94.39%

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the results for class 12th on 13th July. Delhi, with a pass percentage of 94.39%, has surpassed the national pass percentage by almost 5%. Not only this, government schools like JNV and KV, have a better pass percentage this year as compared to the private schools. In Delhi, an increase in pass percentage of the government schools can be attributed to the work done by the government.

Here are the Highlights for CBSE Class 12th Result

  • The pass percentage this time is 88.78%. This shows an increase of 5.38% as compared to last year.
  • With 97.67%, Trivandrum has recorded the highest pass percentage in the country. Whereas Patna has the lowest pass percent of 74.57%.
  • Girls have recorded a higher pass percentage of 5.96% than boys.
  • For all the certificates- Digital Mark sheet, Passing Certificate, Migration Certificate, Skill Certificate- the students can log into their Digilocker app.
  • Due to Covid-19, board has taken special steps. Therefore there will be no merit list this year. The word ‘FAIL’ has been replaced by ‘Essential Repeat’. Also, IVRS and Live Tele-counselling facilities have been set up to deal with exam related issues.
  • The result for 400 students couldn’t be announced according to the assessment scheme adopted by the board. Therefore, those results will be declared later.
  • The dates for optional exams and compartmental exams will be released later.

Government Schools Outshine Private Schools

This time private schools have taken a backseat. Their pass percentage is the lowest i.e. 88.22%. JNV has the highest pass percentage of 98.7%. This is followed by KV (Kendriya Vidyalaya) wherein the pass percentage is of 98.62%. Further 91.56% of students from government aided schools have passed the class 12th exam.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, few exams were not conducted. Therefore CBSE had to adopt an alternate assessment scheme. In this four-pointer scheme, marks have been allotted on the basis of marks scored by students in their best performing subjects.
