CBSE 12th board exam cancelled, PM says students' safety important

Ground Report | New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12 board exam have been cancelled. The important decision was taken in a high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. The government says that this decision has been taken on the basis of the uncertainty arising due to the second wave of Covid epidemic and the feedback received from all the stakeholders related to the examinations.

The government says that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the health and future security of the youth of the country. After considering all the aspects, the government has come to the conclusion that in the current situation, 12th class board examinations should not be held this year.

In a statement issued by the government, it has been told that after the cancellation of the examinations, now the results of class 12 students will be prepared on the basis of fair parameters set by CBSE. All this work will be done within the stipulated time frame.

According to the statement issued by the government, Prime Minister Modi said in the meeting that the academic calendar has been badly affected due to the covid epidemic. In such a situation, the issue of board examinations has become a cause of great stress for the students, their parents and teachers. The PM said that it is necessary to end this tension.

PM Modi said that the situation related to covid-19 is constantly changing across the country. In such a situation, it is natural for students, parents and teachers to be concerned about the health of the children. He said that children should not be forced to take examinations in such a tense environment.
