Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman holds a press conference after presenting the economic budget in the country's Parliament. This is his first press conference after the budget.

Addressing the media on the occasion she said that the emphasis has been on accelerating the economy. At the same time, it is important to keep a special focus on infra. To improve the economy, it has decided to spend big on Infra.
The Finance Minister further said that the focus has been on better health management in the budget. The economy will be strengthened by this budget. Along with this, emphasis has been laid on increasing the capacity of the healthcare sector.

Talking about Agri Infra Cess, she said that Agri Infra Cess will not burden the public. Restructuring has been done through Agri Infra Cess. Apart from this, important decisions are necessary for the agriculture sector.
Due to the tension given by China at the border of the country, people were also looking towards the defense budget. Asked about the comparison of China's defense budget is about 5 times larger than India, the finance minister said that the government has given more emphasis on defense in this budget and focused on it. So this time, this budget has increased the defense budget by 20 percent.
