Ground Report | New Delhi: BJP to tie up with Amarinder; BJP to ally with Amarinder Singh in Punjab elections by the repeal of farmer's law? Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement to repeal three agriculture laws may strengthen BJP's election campaign in the upcoming Punjab elections.

The BJP was not able to go among the people in Punjab due to the opposition of the farmer leaders.

According to the news agency PTI, the BJP can also forge an alliance with the new party of ex-Congress Chief Minister Amarinder Singh in Punjab. After Prime Minister Modi's announcement, Amarinder Singh has indicated that he can work together with the BJP's central government on the issue of farmers.

Amarinder had said that if the issue of protest over agricultural laws is resolved, then he can work with the BJP. Amarinder Singh had earlier met Union Minister Amit Shah. He had said that the issue of farmers was discussed with the Home Minister and appealed to him to resolve the issue of farmers at an emergency level.

There are 117 seats in the Punjab Legislative Assembly. In the upcoming election, there will be a contest between Congress, SAD-BSP alliance, BJP, Amarinder Singh's party and Aam Aadmi Party. The challenge before the Congress will be to save power. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party is trying to strengthen its ground in Punjab. The BJP has been in power with the SAD in the state. Now once again this alliance can be alive.

I am willing to work with the central government for the interests of farmers under the leadership of BJP."

Prime Minister Modi while addressing the nation on the occasion of Gurpurab said that the government has decided to withdraw three agriculture laws. In protest against these controversial laws, farmers across the country have been demonstrating on the borders of Delhi for the past one year. Most of these farmers are from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
