BJP gears up for 2024 Lok Sabha elections

BJP has prepared for Lok Sabha elections in 2024, The Indian Express reported. For the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP assembled a team of senior party leaders as it prepared its strategy plan.

The BJP has identified around 74,000 positions across the country where the party needs to strengthen its control and make room at the grassroots level. There are many such places where the party has not been able to win so far.

The newspaper quoted a source as saying that these positions mainly include southern and western states.

The four-member team, led by BJP Vice President Baijayant Panda, has already drawn up a strategy to cover all the booths spread across 2,300 constituencies where the party has an MP or MLA. While booths have been identified in 100 Lok Sabha constituencies where BJP candidates have failed to win so far.

A member of this team told the newspaper: “We have identified more than 73,600 positions where our plan will be implemented. Basically, our goal is to strengthen the booths in the districts where the party is already winning. Apart from this, we have to make ourselves a stronger position. We will work on 100 more Lok Sabha seats where the party has not won. Our mission is to maximize party reach and electoral victory.”
