Bharatiya Janata Party workers are protesting against Maharashtra's Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in Nagpur and Mumbai.

Party workers are holding posters in their hands, which says, 'Anil Deshmukh resigns.'

On Saturday, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh wrote a letter to the Chief Minister alleging that Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had given a target of Rs 100 crore to the top police officers every month.

In view of the protests, police has been deployed outside the home of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in Nagpur.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Office said that the letter allegedly sent by Parambir Singh was received at 4.37 pm yesterday, but the letter was received from another email ID, which was not his official email ID. The new email address needs to be checked. The Home Minister is trying to contact them.

While Parambir Singh has said that 'he sent that email with his own ID'. BJP is trying to pressure the Maharashtra government on these allegations.

But talking to the press about this, Jayant Patil, a minister in Maharashtra government and state president of NCP, said, "This letter is a response to the stern steps taken by the Chief Minister and the Home Minister of Maharashtra. There is no question that the Home Minister Resign or replace them."

On Saturday, Anil Deshmukh made a tweet, in which he wrote that the allegations made by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh are baseless.

He did this to save himself in the case of Sachin Waje, Mukesh Ambani and Mansukh Hiren. From the investigation that has been done till now, it is clear that he too had a connection with this case.

Anil Deshmukh, 70 , is one of the few leaders in Maharashtra politics who has succeeded in making his place in the government of every party.

However, after this explosive letter, some political analysts see the political career of Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh at risk.
