Activist Rona Wilson has been arrested in connection with the discovery of Arsenal by the American forensic lab in the Bhima Koregaon case. Researcher and Malayalee Rona Wilson has approached the Bombay High Court.

The forensic report has revealed that cases against social activists, intellectuals arrested in Bhima Koregaon case were planted in laptops using malware, according to the Washington Post news. Later the police seized the same laptop.

Arsenal Consulting is a US-based digital forensic company. The firm found in its investigation that even before the arrest of activist Rona Wilson, the attackers tampered with the malware in their laptops and saved at least 10 documents by making hidden files.

After this, when the police seized this laptop, these documents found in it were used as the primary proof of the charge sheet in the Bhima Koregaon case.

Rona Wilson is the first person to be arrested in the Bhima Koregaon case. In addition to Wilson, 15 other human rights activists have been arrested by the UAPA so far.

The U.S. Forensic Fame says that about a dozen letters found in Rona Wilson's laptop were found to have been tampered with to prove her guilt. The Washington Post reported.

Arsenal Consulting says a hacker had been depositing about 10 letters in his laptop before Rona Wilson was arrested.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have yet to find information about the hacker. According to the forensic agency, this is one of the most serious cases of evidence theft.

Rona has approached the court seeking a detailed investigation into the American forensic lab 's discovery that hacked evidence was hacked into his laptop by a hacker. Live Law reports that Rona also asked that a special investigation team be appointed to investigate the incident.

These letters were considered by the Pune police as preliminary evidence against Rona Wilson. Pune police have arrested several social activists, including Rona Wilson, for alleged Maoist links.

Police had also seized a letter from Rona's laptop regarding a conspiracy to assassinate Narendra Modi. It is alleged that he planned to assassinate Modi through an 'operation similar to the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi'.

Rona Wilson was arrested and detained under UAPA law in 2018 as part of a joint operation by Pune police and Delhi Police from a one - room flat in Munirka, Delhi.

Along with Rona Wilson, four other social activists from different parts of the country were arrested and detained under the law. Dalit social activist Sudhir dhavle, Surendra gadling advocate, social activist Mahesh Rao, university teacher, Shoma Sen and others have been arrested.

Who is Rona Wilson?

Wilson, who hails from Kerala but had been living in Delhi before his arrest in 2018 had completed his M. Phil from JNU, Delhi, and was in the process of pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Surrey or the University of Leicester, England. Both universities had accepted his Ph.D. proposal and he was in the process of applying for a scholarship in 2018.
