Ground Report | New Delhi: Muslim youth to drink urine; Bengaluru city police have suspended a police sub-inspector after a 24-year-old Muslim man accused the police of assaulting him and forcing him to drink urine.

Tausif Pasha (23) was taken to the police station at around one o'clock on Thursday afternoon over a dispute with a neighbour. Tausif's father Aslam Pasha said that his son was assaulted and the police demanded money for Tauseef's release. "But we never knew that Tauseef was subjected to brutal torture until he came out of the police station," the father said.

In the viral video, the man alleged that the policemen also cut his beard inside the police station. “They hit me with a cricket bat, they shaved my beard and made me drink urine when I asked for water. When I told him not to shave my beard as it is part of my faith, he said that the police station is not my religious centre. He hit me with a cricket bat more than 30 times,” said the man.

"They told me that they file a kidnapping case against me and send me to jail for two years," he said. (Muslim youth to drink urine)
