Ground Report | New Delhi: Famous Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Thursday donated 1 crore for the construction of a school building at Neeru village in Tulail along the Line of Control in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. Akshay reached Tulail along the Line of Control in Gurez Valley and from there visited Neeru village. The actor was scheduled to meet BSF jawans in the village. The actors reached Neeru by helicopter around noon. The actor looked dashing in a camouflage T-shirt and cargo pants. She completed her look with a cap and shades.

News Agency KNO reported that the superstar donated 1 crore for the construction of the school building after he visited Neeru village today afternoon. They said that Akshay Kumar visited Neeru village which is located near the Line of Control in remote Tulail valley of the Gurez sector.

“He interacted with the Jawans of Army and BSF at Neeru to boost their morale. He also danced with locals at a function organised by the BSF unit posted there,” they said.

There was also a team of soldiers and police with Akshay Kumar. Akshay had earlier met BSF jawans during the release of his film 'Kesari' in 2019; He had posted the video on his Instagram with BSF jawans. In one of the videos, the actor can be seen showcasing his boxing and kickboxing skills. Appreciating the soldiers, Akshay wrote, "It's always nice to meet the soldiers of @bsf_india. Their training, passion, and enthusiasm are top-notch, always a learning experience. "

Khiladi Kumar on Tuesday took to Twitter to announce the release date of his much-awaited spy-thriller 'Bell Bottom'. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on July 27. Earlier, Akshay was seen in 'Lakshmi' a horror-comedy which released on OTT platform. The actor played a pivotal role in the 2019 hit 'Mission Mangal' alongside Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu and Sonakshi Sinha.

On the work front, Akshay has many films in the pipeline. Rohit Shetty directed 'Sooryavanshi', which stars Akshay in the lead role, but a release date is yet to be finalised. Akshay has wrapped up the shooting of 'Atrangi Re', 'Prithviraj' and 'Bachchan Pandey'. He is currently shooting for 'Ram Setu'.
