All the accused have been acquitted by the special CBI court in the Babri Masjid demolition case of Ayodhya. The court while hearing the case said that there was not enough evidence to bring down the structure against the accused. Not only this, the court said that the Babri structure was demolished by the chaotic elements and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has no hand in it. Explain that the court said in the judgment on September 30 that the participation of BJP, RSS, VHP leaders in the Babri demolition and pre-planned demolition cannot be proved based on the evidence presented.

The court ruled that the accused could not be held guilty of the demolition of the mosque due to lack of evidence. At the time of the verdict, 26 people were present out of the 32 accused in the case. Apart from this, leaders like LK Advani, Uma Bharti and Murali Manohar Joshi were associated with the court through video conferencing. As soon as the verdict came, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad met Advani.

The special CBI court had asked all the 32 accused, including L K Advani, M M Joshi and Uma Bharti to be present in the court today. While Uma Bharti has tested positive of covid-19, Advani and Joshi have health concerns because of their old age and pandemic.

There was excitement in the BJP camp as soon as the decision to acquit veteran leaders including Advani. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi welcomed the decision by tweeting. Sushil Modi wrote, 'Jai Shri Ram. All the accused, including Advani ji, were free from blame. There was no pre-planned conspiracy to bring down the structure.

However Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that according to the Supreme Court's decision in 2019, the demolition of Babri Masjid was an illegal offense but the special court acquitted all the accused. The decision of the special court is clearly contrary to the decision of the Supreme Court.
