Recently an Ayodhya priest and 14 policemen on duty at Ayodhya's Ram Janambhoomi complex, where the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ram Mandir is expected to be held on August 5, have tested positive for coronavirus. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the ceremony along with 50 VIPs.

Few days back BJP Minister Pragya Thakur in his twitter Video insisted everyone to chant Hanuman Chalisa till aug 5 to reduce the effects of COVID-19. Moreover, there were cases of ministers and yogis suggesting cow urine to treat corona.

The assistant priest Pradeep Das in the only one out of 4 priests of makeshift temple to test positive. Another 12 people who were in close proximity to the Ayodhya priest have also tested negative.

The policemen who tested positive were engaged in security duties at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, the temple trust said. While four of them were on permanent duty inside the complex, the rest took turns sometimes.

There were reports of belief of the people regarding the Lord Rama's grace will affect the COVID 19 and protect the believers from this deadly disease. However, the government is emphasising more and more on taking necessary safety precaution.
