According to the newspaper report, Jha is among the 15 officials whose relatives had bought land in Ayodhya after the Supreme Court verdict.

In August this year, the then DM Anuj Jha sent a case to the Revenue Court. In this, a Dalit man had complained that his land was involved in the illegal purchase of 21 bighas of land, which was bought by Maharishi Ramayana Vidyapeeth Trust. Indian Express has said in its report that Anuj Jha is also among at least 15 officers whose relatives bought land around the proposed temple complex after the Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya.

According to the newspaper, it has come to the fore in the records that on 28 May 2020, a plot of 320.631 square meters was registered in the name of Badri Jha’s father Badri Jha in Mughalpura, about one kilometer from the temple in Ayodhya. Anuj Jha. The cost of this land was Rs 23.40 lakh. Anuj Jha was the DM of Ayodhya from 21 February 2020 to 23 October this year. Presently Anuj Jha is the Director of Panchayati Raj in the State Government and lives in Lucknow.

DM Anuj Jha, he said, “Ayodhya is a religious place and my father is elderly. What’s wrong with that if he wants to live there in the last years of his life. Can’t they buy land here? Nothing. Wrong with that.”

In the record that Badri Jha has bought residential land from Mansharam Singh of Tulsinagar. Badri Jha’s address in the registry is of a village in the Madhubani district of Bihar.

A person named Amar Jeet Yadav along with Tripti Gupta, wife of Atul Gupta, brother-in-law of Purushottam Das Gupta, who was the Chief Revenue Officer of Ayodhya from 20 July 2018 to 10 September 2021, bought MRVT from 1,130 square meters in Barhta Manjha on 12 October 2021 for Rs 21.88 lakh. On the other hand, Purushottam Das Gupta said that he had no role in the investigation against MRVT nor had he bought any land in his name.

Deepak Kumar, who held the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) from 26 July 2020 to 30 March 2021, is now the DIG of Aligarh. His wife’s sister Mahima Thakur had bought 1,020 square meters in Barhta Manjha from MRVT for Rs 19.75 lakh on September 1, 2021.

On December 29, 2020, he bought 14,860 square meters of land in Maheshpur (Gonda) beside the river Saryu, about 5 km from the temple site, Rs 4 crore from Jagdamba Singh and Jadunandan Singh.

Indra Pratap Tiwari MLA, Gosaiganj, Ayodhya District bought 2,593 sq m in Barhata Manjha on November 18, 2019, for Rs 30 lakh from MRVT.
