Counting of votes has started today after five assembly elections including Uttar Pradesh. The results of 403 assembly seats of UP will come today. In the exit polls, BJP is being claimed to emerge as the single largest party. During the counting of votes, the postal ballot will be counted first.

Varanasi DM Raj Sharma has told news agency ANI that 'Polling agents of various parties are reaching the counting centers. Postal ballots will be opened at 8 am, after which the EVM votes will be counted.' “The counting process is expected to be completed by evening. Section 144 has been imposed in the Varanasi Commissionerate area.

Today all eyes will be on Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state of the country. Where 403 assembly seats have been voted in seven phases and all exit polls have predicted the return of the ruling BJP.

At the same time, it will also be interesting to see the election results of the 117-seat Punjab Assembly, where it is being said that the Aam Aadmi Party can emerge as the largest party.

The results of 70 seats will come in Uttarakhand, where many exit polls are showing a tough fight between the Congress and the BJP. Results of 40 assembly seats in Goa and 60 in Manipur will also come today.
