Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane has said that about 300-400 militants are waiting across the Line of Control (LoC) to infiltrate into the Indian side. Their purpose is to disturb the peace and attack in the valley.

Addressing the soldiers on the occasion of Army Day, the general asked them to be more vigilant on the border. At the same time, he said that the soldiers standing at the border know how to answer the enemy by breaking their mouths.

He said that, cases of ceasefire violations by Pakistan have increased by about 44 percent. It has been seen for the first time in the last 17 years that Pakistan has committed so many ceasefire violations.

General Naravane said, in the year 2019, ceasefire violations were done by Pakistan was 3168 times, in 2020, the incident was seen 4700 times. Statistics show that only from August to December, Pakistan violated ceasefire 1551 times. The most important thing in this is that cases of such ceasefire violations have increased more rapidly after the abolition of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan is using drones and tunnels to smuggle arms and ammunition into the country. "At LoC, our forces are keeping an eye on Pakistan's activities. The counter-infiltration grid has been strengthened making it nearly impossible for Pakistan to push terrorists into Indian territory," said the Indian Army Chief.

General Naravane said that the eyes of Indian soldiers are always kept on the movements from across the border. He added, last year around 200 militants were killed in Jammu and Kashmir
