Ground Report | New Delhi: Strongest armies in the world; Army Day is celebrated on January 15 every year in India. January 15 marks the day that Field Marshal KM Cariappa (then a Lieutenant General) took over command of the Indian Army from British General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India in 1949.
