Ground Report | New Delhi: Amrullah Saleh fled the country; The Taliban has claimed during its press conference that the country's former vice-president Amrullah Saleh has fled the country.

During the Battle of Panjshir, Saleh was in Panjshir and he was with the National Resistance Force (NRF).

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said at his press conference in Kabul that he had been told that Saleh had left Afghanistan and fled to Tajikistan.

Last week, Saleh released a video saying that he had not fled the valley.

A Taliban spokesman said today that the people under whose control Panjshir was "missing". He said that Afghanistan is his home and he can return whenever he wants. He told that the weapons recovered from Panjshir will be included in the arms of Afghanistan.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid gave information on the capture of Panjshir, international flights from the country and humanitarian aid in a press conference.

Starting the press conference, he claimed that the Taliban had captured Panjshir province. He told a press conference in Kabul that the valley has been "completely cleared today".

A Taliban spokesman said the opposition group gave "negative responses" whenever the Taliban attempted to negotiate. Zabihullah Mujahid said the Taliban had sent their military forces to the last corner to rid them of "terrorism".

A Taliban spokesman said that electricity and internet would be restored in Panjshir from today. The Taliban had cut off phone, internet and power lines in this area. The Taliban also claimed that no common man was killed in the battle to capture Panjshir.

US damaged Kabul airport

A Taliban spokesman has said that domestic flights have started and the Taliban is waiting when international flights can start. He told that the governments of Turkey and Qatar are helping to resume services at Kabul Airport.

He also said that the US had damaged the airport while leaving Afghanistan. Taliban spokesman has appealed to the international community to rebuild Afghanistan.

He has said that the countries which are giving humanitarian help, they should continue it. At the same time, he has also assured all the Afghan people that the situation in the country will gradually return to normal and the economy will also improve.
