BSNL has alerted its users. BSNL This alert is about SMS frauds happening in the country. The company has warned its users that fraudsters are using KYC details to withdraw money from your bank account.
BSNL further said that fraud fraudsters are contacting customers through SMS and telling them that if they do not complete KYC process then their BSNL SIM will be deactivated.

These fake SMSs are sent with headers like CP-SMSFST, AD-VIRINF, CP-BLMKND, and BP-ITLINN.
BSNL has clearly said that these messages are not being sent by the company, so please stay away from such messages.
To stop the cases related to SMS fraud, the government and telecom companies have implemented a new SMS template. The new SMS template will run with the help of blockchain technology.
The new SMS template system of BSNL has gone live since yesterday. For this reason, many important messages such as OTP were not being sent to customers yesterday.

Explain that the company gave a lot of time to other businesses to adopt the new SMS template, but large institutions did not give it much importance.
Now according to the order of Delhi High Court, the new SMS verification system has gone live from yesterday.
Now any message that a verified company will send will have to follow the header and footer template suggested by the government.
The introduction of this new system will reduce the SMS fraud, because the SMS which the company will not be able to verify will block the messages and will not reach the customers. But, it is important to be aware of such fraud.

The company has warned the customers that they should not share any of their personal information and OTP on the phone with anyone. And if you get a fake or fraud SMS, then you can complain to the telecom company or the concerned authorities.
