After Rihanna, Greta, Kamla Harris's niece tweeted about farmers protest

Meena Harris, the niece of US Vice-President Kamla Harris, has commented on India's peasant demonstrations by tweeting. She has written that the world's largest democracy has been attacked.

She wrote, "It is no coincidence that less than a month ago, the oldest democracy in the world was attacked and now we are seeing an attack on the largest populous democracy. It is connected to each other. We all should be angry about the internet shutdown in India and the violence of the security forces on the peasant protesters."

In another tweet, she condemned the violence and chaos at the US Capitol last month and said, "Just as outraged as we are about the traumas that @AOC and others experienced at the Capitol insurrection. And not just because fascism anywhere threatens democracy everywhere (although, uhhh, IT DOES). Trump may have left office, but look around: the tide is still rising. (sic)

Meena Harris has made several tweets mentioning the violence in the Capitol Hill of America and the peasant movement in India. He has warned that democracy is at risk everywhere in the world and 'unity' begins with truth.

Pop singer Rihanna and environmental activist Greta Thunberg have also tweeted on farmer demonstrations.

Meena Harris further said, "Militant nationalism is just as potent a force in US politics as it is in India or any place else."

"It can only be stopped if people wake up to the reality that FASCIST DICTATORS aren't going anywhere. Not unless: 1) we organize and 2) THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES FOR THE CAPITOL ATTACK, (sic)" Meena Harris said.
