After fighting with wife, this man walked 450 km

In Italy, a man took his wife out of house to calm down after a fight with her and started walking. But on the way he traveled 450 km!

Users on social media have started calling this person Forrest Gump. In 1994, the protagonist of a Hollywood movie of the same name was a bit stupid and he ran thousands of miles in the United States. The role was played by actor Tom Hanks.

Police found the man walking in the town of Fano, near the Adriatic Coast, at 2 p.m. By the time police stopped him, he had been out of his home in the northern town of Como for a week.

The 48-year-old man police fined 400 euros for violating the curfew imposed by the corona virus. The story was published in the Italian newspaper Resto del Carlino, but then became very popular in the Italian media.

Some on social media say the man should be seen as a hero and have criticized the fine. Some say they should be rewarded and given a new pair of shoes. Some people are praising him for preferring to walk instead of beating to vent his anger.

"I came here on foot," the man told police. I did not use any ride. People he met on the way gave him food. I'm fine, I'm just a little tired. This person traveled an average of 60 km per day. Police found him on a coastal highway where he was apparently walking on a cold night without a destination.

Checking his ID card revealed that his wife had reported him missing. When the police contacted him, Fano came to pick him up.
