A video of the incident is also circulating on social media, in which a local man can be heard saying that the child's relative has insulted the Pakistani flag, so they will not allow the child to be buried here.

He said: 'The child's parents lived in Pakistan for decades but later moved back to Afghanistan. There is no evidence that locals were talking about desecrating the flag. Even if a relative of the child has done so, he has done something very wrong, but why was the child's body being punished?

Sher Ali said: 'We were told to bury the child in India. We have been living in Peshawar for a long time and we love Pakistan but some locals embarrassed us in front of those who offered condolences.

Since the child's body was not allowed for burial, the family has decided to move him to Afghanistan. "At around 6 pm, we reached the Khyber District Hospital to get the necessary documents for the transfer," Sher Ali said. "After receiving documents from the hospital, we reached the Torkham border at night, where we were told that permission from the Afghan consulate in Peshawar was required to transfer the body," he said.

Thus, Sher Ali arrived at the Afghan consulate in Peshawar at night to obtain a permit. "After getting permission, we moved the body to Afghanistan and the baby was buried there," he said.
