Ground Report | New Delhi: Advice to Indian living in Ukraine; The Indian Embassy in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, has issued an advisory for Indian citizens living there. In the advisory issued by the Indian Embassy, ​​it has been said that in view of the current situation in Ukraine, there is an appeal to Indians to return home temporarily from there.

The embassy says that there is an appeal to the Indians living there, and especially to the students, that if their stay there is not very important, then they can return from there.

"In view of the uncertainties of the current situation in Ukraine, Indian nationals in Ukraine, particularly students whose stay is not essential, may consider leaving temporarily. Indian nationals are also advised to avoid all non-essential travel to and within Ukraine," the Embassy release said.

"Indian nationals are requested to keep the Embassy informed about the status of their presence in Ukraine to enable the Embassy to reach them where required. The Embassy continues to function normally to provide all services to Indian nationals in Ukraine."

It has also been informed that the Indian Embassy is functioning normally. Tensions have been brewing between Russia and Ukraine for the past several months. Recently the situation has worsened. Many Western countries, including America, say that Russia can attack Ukraine at any time. However, Russia has been denying this. But in recent days, Russia has significantly increased the number of troops on the border with Ukraine.

Earlier, United States officials said intelligence indicates that Russia could invade Ukraine before the end of the Beijing Olympics. In the wake of escalating tensions in Ukraine, Washington has announced that President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold telephone talks. Talks are also expected between Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron.

US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan said a Russian attack on Ukraine could take place any day. Sullivan told U.S. citizens in Ukraine to leave Ukraine within the next 24 to 48 hours. He said that Russian aggression could start with airstrikes.
