Actor Vikram admitted to hospital, check his health status

Tamil actor Vikram was admitted to the hospital on Friday and his publicist confirmed that the actor was taken to the hospital after he complained of uneasiness due to symptoms of high fever.

Vikram had a fever for the last two days. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday due to some changes in his physical condition. The doctors who examined him there also performed some heart-related tests.

He is now recovering well with excellent treatment. It is also said that Vikram will return home soon. Aside from this, a report has also surfaced that he has undergone angioplasty due to a blockage in the blood vessels.

It was reported earlier today that actor Vikram was admitted to Kauvery Hospital following a cardiac arrest. Now the actor's manager Suryanarayanan has denied the news saying that the actor had only 'mild chest pain'.

In his tweet, he said, "We are saddened to hear the rumours. We request you to give him and his family the privacy they need at this time." He also said that the actor will be discharged from the hospital in a day.

The actor was supposed to attend the sneak peek launch of his upcoming movie, Ponniyin Selvan, which is scheduled for today at 6 p.m. in Chennai. The first part of the film is set to hit theatres on September 30.

Vikram reportedly complained of feeling uncomfortable and was rushed to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai for immediate treatment. The actor underwent an angioplasty, according to hospital sources.

The actor is now said to be in a stable condition and will reportedly be released from the hospital today. On Thursday, the actor informed his (Ponnniyin Selvan) film crew that he will not be attending the movie launch teaser today.
