Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao appeared together a day after divorce

Ground Report | New Delhi: Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao; A day after announcing their divorce, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao said that they are both very happy. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao attended a weekly online program of 'Pani Foundation' from Kargil.

Aamir Khan said, "You people must have heard our announcement. You must have felt sad too. Wouldn't have liked it. But we both are very happy. We are one family. Our relationship has changed but we are together. You pray for us that we should be happy.

Kiran Rao also said, "We want to assure you that we will continue to work together."

'Pani Foundation' has been organizing such weekly discussion programs since the time of Corona lockdown and Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao has been involved in it. Both of them had informed about their separation by issuing a joint statement on Saturday.

Aamir and Kiran had said in a statement, "In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy, and laughter and our relationship has grown in trust, respect, and love. Now we are on a new chapter in our lives. Would like to start. Not as husband and wife, but as the child's parent and family."

“We started separating from each other a while back and are now comfortably formalizing it. We have devoted parents to our son Azad, who we will raise together. We do films, Will continue to work as a collaborator in 'Pani Foundation' and other projects as well."

"We look forward to best wishes and blessings from our well-wishers. Hope you, like us, will not see this divorce as the end, but as the beginning of a new journey."

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao met on the sets of the film 'Lagaan'. Kiran was the assistant director of the film. On 28 December 2005, both tied the knot. Both have a son whose name is Azad.

It was Aamir's second marriage to Kiran Rao. Reena Dutta was his first wife. After 16 years of marriage, both of them got divorced in the year 2002. Aamir has a daughter Ira and son Junaid with Reena Dutta.
