Fireworks triggered a cellar fire in Reussbühl Lu, cause of fire clarified

On January 1, 2022, there was a fire in a basement of an apartment building on Ruopigenring in Reussbühl. The residents had to be temporarily evacuated from the building for safety reasons. One person had to be taken to the hospital by the emergency services 144 to be checked. The fire brigade of the city of Lucerne was in action.

Now the fire detectives of the Lucerne police have completed the investigation. They were able to determine that a resident had set fire to a “volcano” on a lawned garden space about 20 meters from the affected basement.
