In a major attack on security forces, militants targetted the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Awantipora of South Kashmir on Thursday, killing 15 injuring others.
At least thirteen others were injured, when a CRPF bus they were travelling in came in the ambut of a car bomb blasr along Srinagar-Jammu highway in Pulwama district.
According to the report from agency GNS , around 3:15 pm, militants rammed the car into the CRPF bus and triggered off an intensive blast.
The officer said that fifteen CRPF men were killed in the blast and thirteen others seriously wounded were shifted to army’s 92 base hospital.
Following the blast the traffic has been suspended on the highway as forces cordon off the entire area and launched searches.

Reacting to the incident, former CM Mehbooba Mufti said, “Disturbing news from awantipora, no words are enough to condemn the gruesome terror attack.” National Conference chief Omar Abdullah also condmned the attack.
Meanwhile, Jaish-e-Mohammad has taken responsibility of the attack.
