Ground Report | New Delhi: 100 crore doses of Covid; In the ongoing campaign against the Covid-19 epidemic, India crossed the historic milestone on Thursday, 21 October. On Thursday morning, India reached the milestone of vaccination against Covid-19 when one billion people had been vaccinated. The government wants all 944 million adults in India to be vaccinated this year.

The target of 100 crore Covid-19 vaccinations includes both the first and second doses. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has congratulated him on achieving the historic target of 100 crore vaccinations.

PM Modi congratulated

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi reached Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi on the occasion of completion of one billion doses and met health workers. Modi thanked everyone by tweeting even after crossing the historic target. Modi wrote in his tweet. "Congratulations to India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Thanks to our doctors, nurses, and everyone who worked to achieve this feat."

"1,00,00,00,000. A hundred crore is not just a number but it is the self-confidence of more than a hundred crore people. Congratulations India on this remarkable feat of administering 100 Crore doses," Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted

"India's Vaccine Century could not have been possible without PM @narendramodi Ji's entrepreneurial spirit and unrelenting determination. From research to regulatory approvals, from streamlining cold storage facilities to building CoWIN, @PMOIndia's leadership has been inspiring," Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar tweeted.
