Ground Report | New Delhi: RSS Muslim body; The Muslim Rashtriya Manch, a unit of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, has appealed to the Muslim community to vote for the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections in five states.

According to news agency PTI, Muslim Rashtriya Manch has said that Muslims are the most secure and happy in the BJP government, while under the SP and Congress, they are seen as just a vote bank.

According to news agency PTI, the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, referring to the schemes launched by the BJP governments at the Center and in the states, said that BJP is the biggest well-wisher of Muslims in this country.

In the meeting chaired by the president of this unit, Indresh Kumar, a request letter has been issued which will be distributed in the Muslim dominated areas in the states.

It has been told in this letter that the Narendra Modi government has started 36 schemes like Nayi Roshni, Naya Savera, Seekho Aur Kamao and Ustad for the welfare of the minority community.

Opposition parties, including the Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), have only considered Muslims as their vote bank and after coming to power, gave members of the community poverty, illiteracy, backwardness and "atrocities such as instantaneous triple talaq", charged the MRM.

The MRM's 'Nivedan Patra (letter of appeal), printed in booklet form for distribution in the states selected for elections, was launched at a meeting here chaired by its founder and main sponsor Indresh Kumar, the national coordinator of the team and in- in charge of media Sayed Sayeed told PTI.

He said that leaflets will be distributed among members of the minority community seeking to vote for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur and Punjab.

He noted: "The Narendra Modi government has initiated as many as 36 schemes including Nai Roshni, Naya Savera, Nai Udaan, Seekho Aur Kamao, Ustaad and Nai Manjil for the welfare of minority communities since 2014." Members of the minority community have also benefited from Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Startup India and other schemes launched by the Modi government, he said. “Opposition parties including Congress, SP and BSP have been propaganda against the RSS and BJP for a long time saying that Muslims will be expelled from the country if the BJP comes to power… How many Muslims have been expelled from the country in the last seven years? he asked him.

“Congress and other opposition parties have considered Muslims only as their vote bank…Muslims suffered from poverty, illiteracy, hatred against Hindus, backwardness, and anti-Islamic atrocities like triple talaq (instantaneous) during the Congress regimes and the so-called Muslim sympathizers”, he added.
